ATHLETICISM ACCESSIBILITY INTERSECTIONALITY

If you have a body, you are an Athlete.

Thank you Bill Bowerman (cofounder of Nike and former University of Oregon track coach) for this reminder.

Sometimes it can feel like what he said is not true for everyone.

I want to remind you: IT IS.

“Movement is Celebration.”

It’s all about MOVEMENT:

First: just move.

Second: Move WELL!

But what does it mean to move well? and to move well in your body?

Good movement does not look the same for every body, because every body is not the same.

Differences in anatomy, disability status, hypermobility, and even having experienced trauma all affect what good quality movement looks like and feels like in every body.

It can feel really overwhelming when wanting to improve your health and fitness!

My passion is good movement for EVERY BODY.

Keep an eye on this space!

I am currently restructuring my business and website to reflect my passion for supporting the whole individual!

I have openings for personal training (in person and virtual) and would love to be in conversation if you are interested in customized programming to achieve your fitness and nutrition goals!

I am also available to lead discussions on topics within accessibility (especially regarding neurodivergence and trauma) and intersectionality. Please contact me so we can begin the process of creating together!
